A Felled tree.

4450 Hectares of red gum forest were felled in 1939 to create this lake, Lake Mulwala, primarily for irrigation storage. It has become a popular place for water based activities and fishing. It is an attractive drawcard to the area and is largely responsible for the booming tourist industry in Yarrawonga-Mulwala.

Agree with Maggie about the apparent danger for water sports. Do gum trees usually like so much water?

Very painterly Sandra! I really like this in the deep moody light.

It looks a little bit dangerous for water activities with all those tree trunks there Sandra. Nice capture!
