Wanda 12_16_07.jpg

I think this image needs a title. I have been looking at the light that falls here at the mirror in our entry for almost a year now. This image has been in my head for most of that time. This image came out just how I imagined it way before I shot it today.

I wanted me to fade into the background as a photographer should in any photo he takes. Whether we are in the image or not, the photographer is part of the image, or should I say the image is part of us? Also, every picture is just an illusion and a mere reflection of reality. Yeah I was just trying to make illusions to what photography really is; a simple reflection.

This is my version of American Gothic ... maybe we could call it "Middle Class Reflection".

Great shot. Bill, someday I'd hope you would give Wanda fans a chance to see your "private stock" of Wanda pics. What a fabulous, beautiful model! Thanks for sharing her with the world.

My compliments to the (female) model on this one...Wanda's expression looks just perfect, and a little mysterious. Looks like there is a story here, and it draws you in. It is all in Wanda's eyes, for me. I really like this one...nice work, Bill. And Merry Christmas from both of us, too..............I hope Utah is merry and white.

Spectacular image, Bill. Love the overall concept, the muted tone, the composition, and the remarkable image of Wanda in the mirror. How did you set up lights to achieve this amazing image?

Great stuff here Bill, very deep. I love the Middle Class reflections title or Mid-life Gothic Reflection.Grant Wood, would be green with envy,as we all are!

Very nicely composed, nice and warm tonality and I love Wanda's blue eyes being the main point to grab my attention. Really a good idea, Bill.

I really like this image, Bill. The way the lighting changes from the right side of Wanda's face to the left side of your's (in the reflection) makes it very different.
