Robin, one of the great things about the 20D/30D and the other new Canon DSLRs is the low noise levels at high ISO ratings. You can bump the ISO freely up to 1600 ISO without much concern with grain and noise provided you hit the exposure spot on. I haven't run a photo through Noise Ninja since buying the 20D.

Robin,

I am still just experiementing and playing with Bill's camera. This shot was taken indoors on a very dreary, cloudy, rainy day. There was very little light in the room and very little light spilling through the glass window on the door. Changing the ISO setting is one of the things I have finally learned how to do and I figured I would need to for this shot. I waited for "Kisses" to turn her face toward what little light was available and snapped the picture!

Not what I would call a great photo, but I like to have Bill post them so I can have something to compare My images with as I continue to learn. Now I just need to learn more about controlling the depth of field and when and why I would want to change it.

thanks for your encouragement,

Wanda

This is the cat's meow Wanda. Detail and lighting are perfect. I'm amazed at your ISO ... I see no noise!
