We're packing our gear and getting ready for our Yellowstone trip.

hello. im a newbie on this hobby of bird photography. I have a canon eos 30d and im searching for a good lense to buy for it, I was thinking on the sigma 300mm 2.8 apo hsm, but ive seen others, ive read maybe hundreds of reviews about diferent telephoto lenses and im even more confused about it. I have a budject of €1500 its almost the same as us dollars. can you give me advice? thank you.
