Photographer's Block 10_20_05.jpg

Just one of those photos I have had kicking around in my head for sometime. Yeah I know nobody wants to see me naked; but, heck as artists, aren't we all really laying our souls naked? Seemed about time I just let it all hangout.

After reading these comments, my own generous stomach is taking on new meaning to me

I don't know who the "guest" is who posted the last comment, but she is correct! I DO love every inch of My "love bug". This image is a classic and one that I will always cherish.

I know everyone enjoyed some humor with this, but I would like to point out a more serious side. Bill's physique is similar to my dear one who is a grey-haired prince of a man, while I am a 30 year old curvy baby. I will testify to how wonderful it is to snuggle up to a body like this at 3am when the wind is whistling outside. I paused and really studied and contimplated this image and my final analysis is that Wanda loves every last inch of this man, inside and out, body and soul. That says a lot. All these men come to peep at photos of Wanda and appreciate her beauty. Today I am here to appreciate yours as well. From talent, to character, to beauty, Bill, you possess it all. (Don't forget boys, without Bill's vision there would be no famed Wanda PAD galleries. So be nice!)

Nope this is a self portrait ... I used the timer and a tripod.
Guest 10-Sep-2006 17:52
This is absolutely ART. May I know is this Wanda's work?

rick bolt20-Nov-2005 03:48
you remind me of Steichen's pictures of Rodin. Great pose. Wonderfully revealing photo of a photographer.

Guest 12-Nov-2005 10:10
The naked photographer. We all bare our souls a bit when taking our images. I like the lighting on this shot. Well done.

Wanda's been spoiled!
Guest 29-Oct-2005 14:33
Sometimes a long lens is just a long lens...
Cheryl Hawkins29-Oct-2005 06:02
Awesome shot! This is really beautifully composed and the lighting is exquisite. Bravo, Bill!
Rene Hales25-Oct-2005 15:55
Wonderful, thoughtful work. And, yes, we are putting our inner selfs out there in our work. It is our view of the inner and outter world that we are sharing and it does make you feel naked and exposed.--Rene

Fantastic; honest; brave; wonderfully lit; and if Wanda ovbiously sees so much beauty in you, why the heck shouldn't we?! (And the camera positioning alone is worth a vote...!)
Ray :)24-Oct-2005 23:21
You nailed this one. Bravo!
Guest 24-Oct-2005 22:10
I hope you're not too deeply hurt over the fact that in all these comments, not one has offered you a modelling assignment. Face it Bill, some of us belong on the back, not the front of the camera.
I second Jeanne H-R's motion.
northstar3724-Oct-2005 17:38
we're all gorgeous in our own way :-)
CJ Morgan24-Oct-2005 02:17
Two words: MOST EXCELLENT !!
Howard Sandler23-Oct-2005 19:44
Sir, you've got guts! (no pun intended).
Wolfgang22-Oct-2005 17:50
Bill, I'm afraid you are going to start a trend.
PS, skin smoothing techniques look good on women, but a man needs skin knarling techniques. Use your rhino filter.
Guest 22-Oct-2005 12:02
Heh heh !!! 2 thoughts from PAD 1 days: (1) Wonder what your ole nemisis "Guest" will have to say re this? (2) Near the end of PAD 1 a chap encouraged you to do the "full Monty" as the last shot...but I think he ment Wanda, not you! Bill...you're my hero...I won't let pictures be taken of me until a shed some pounds. Great with the camera and great with what to use the camera for.
Robin Reid22-Oct-2005 00:19
I agree with the comment that this would be a great book cover. I consider this to be brilliant work Bill. Lighting, the Rodin-like pose and the strategic placement of the camera. Very honest and straight forward. Voted.
Debbie B.21-Oct-2005 19:25
I've got to hand it to you! Your creativity knows no bounds!! You can't help but smile when you look at this picture! Mission accomplished.
Guest 21-Oct-2005 18:12
Rodin would be proud. Most sculptors prefer a curve or two, and the facial expression is well done for the shot.
Bravo Bill!!!!! For those of us that have been there, there are few things scarier than being unclothed in front of a camera!!!!!
Jim McKinlock21-Oct-2005 17:47
Here I sit all broken hearted, tried to shoot but Wanda darted.
Guest 21-Oct-2005 17:46
Bill, I would appreciate if you never did this again.
Guest 21-Oct-2005 17:39
This is so clever, and, thankfully, without a Merkin in sight. This rated an "eeewww" from my teenage daughter, but then, so do many things. John
Stuart Peterson21-Oct-2005 15:34
There are some things you just can't un-see. You're a braver man than I, Bill. Excellent work!
Chuck Harvey21-Oct-2005 15:07
Bravo Bill...
You have more nerve than I do!!! LOL
Gary Blanchette21-Oct-2005 13:11
Ok.............. Um... Ok....... WOW! Mental note: Talk to Jeanne to start a petition. We really need to get Wanda to pose like this now.

¡Usted realmente ha conseguido bolas!
Wm. Bates21-Oct-2005 12:47
Not to worry...I'm not sure where I would find that many beads ;^)
G.M. Hattrup21-Oct-2005 12:40
Your not going to do that beaded thong image are you??
Jola Dziubinska21-Oct-2005 09:39
Terrific SP, great lighting and pose.
But, why are you so sad? You should be proud of your guts!
dave 21-Oct-2005 09:23
Great shot,if you do your own wacky wed.you could repeat this shot with a roll of toilet paper at your feet and a newspaper in your hand.
Larry Ahern21-Oct-2005 09:22
Well done!!
Eric Hewis21-Oct-2005 08:22
P.S.I hope you haven't started a trend, I've only got a 17mm.
Eric Hewis21-Oct-2005 08:20
What a long lens!!!
henrywong21-Oct-2005 04:59
stunning image !!
Rick Lewis21-Oct-2005 04:52
Beautiful light and fascinating pose. Excellent.
Guest 21-Oct-2005 03:58
well....I have an idea what you can post TOMORROW?? Wanda in the same position? ;-)
Bob Floyd21-Oct-2005 03:57
Very courageous! More so than I. Well done.
Jim McKinlock21-Oct-2005 03:51
Hahaha, you're too much Bill. Well now that you're ready to strip down for the camera is Wanda ready to do a PAD of you? Oh never mind I don't really want to see it. Great lighting BTW.
Wm. Bates21-Oct-2005 03:48
Well, guts is one thing I have plenty of ;^)
Vivek SenGupta21-Oct-2005 03:42
wow that takes guts. great job!
virginiacoastline21-Oct-2005 03:21

Good for you! Terrific concept and shot.
Guest 21-Oct-2005 03:01
Good job!!
Sheila21-Oct-2005 02:56
Great SP. You're a brave man.
Guest 21-Oct-2005 02:52
All I can say "Bill, I can't see it in the photo, but you got bigger "things" then me!
Nice job! Wanda has been bearing her sole for years, about time you did :-)
Peter Hollinger21-Oct-2005 02:40
Great! Thanks.
Craig Kokkeler21-Oct-2005 02:23
Thanks Bill for keeping a daily PAD.. You and Wanda are quite a couple and I ask only one thing "Please keep up the good work". I really enjoy your photographs, artistic view, eye for colors and sharing everything with us.... I check you site daily no matter where I'm at and it bring a good feeling to me that you and Wanda share so very much of your lives with us and your two outstanding individuals...
John S. Nasche21-Oct-2005 02:17
Please don’t take this as an insult Bill, … but I’d rather see Wanda in this pose. LOL! You have more courage than I do! Gerie asked if I was going to copy this self-portrait using me as the model for Freaky Friday, … my answer was simple. “NO!”
Guest 21-Oct-2005 02:12
You're very honest, Bill. Well the photo is superb. I might do it to myself one day.
Roe..21-Oct-2005 02:07
fantastic..great b&w..I like the lighting a lot.!
Dan Chusid21-Oct-2005 02:04
My cat is looking at this with one paw over her eyes.
^ .! ^
snootydog21-Oct-2005 02:03
Now I think you need to write a book so this can be the jacket photo. Absolutely awesome.

And congrats to fitzgerald for coming up with the award winning comment
Guest 21-Oct-2005 02:01
Oh my. I think I just burned a cornea
Guest 21-Oct-2005 01:52

Guest 21-Oct-2005 01:49
This will be a classic.
