Wanda 08_19_05.jpg

This was just a snap shot from across the room as I was getting my gear ready to head out for the day. Wanda is pulling on her boots. The window light made this photo. This image was taken at the Canterbury Hotel in Indianapolis where we spent a few days getting some really needed rest.

While in Indianapolis we visited GEN CON a huge convention of fantasy gamers...what an interesting bunch of people.

With the work I'm putting in at Cabela's as they setup to be open on the 25th I have been putting in 12 to 17 hours a day and haven't had time for photos. I've been slacking and have missed a few days of PAD photos. Hopefully after they get open I can go back to the "part time" job I was promised.

Wanda, you're now my official birthday girl (My birthday). This picture was taken on my birthday, and was the best present I got. (Hang on it's the only present I got).
Thanks for looking so good. Thanks for the great picture Bill.

Kenneth,

Red and tired eyes are what you get when you stay up past 1:00 AM , then get up at 4:00 AM to catch a flight, then stay up late again, drink too much and get up early again. (laffin) This "party gal" aint as young as she use to be!

Dennis, I can't hand hold that well either. The IS really is a life saver and worth every penny.

I added a layer with Gaussian Blur and then erased through a bit on the face to give the photo that soft glow but keep the eyes nice and sharp.

Beautiful photo, Bill -- warm and soft. I notice that your shutter speed was 1/25; I can't hold steady even at 1/30. Is you solid focus (on her eyes) due in part to the image stabilization of the lens? Maybe I need to part with a buck and invest in one. Hope you can get back to your regular shooting soon. Take care.

I like the soft hazy focus, yet Wandas eyes are great with focus. nice portrait.

The eyes still captivate me, although they look a little red and tired here. I've missed your images the past few days,
it's changing my morning routine when I check my favorite artists.
