Today we went for our first hike up in the canyons. The trail was a little muddy, snowy and slick in spots. That didn't matter. It was a beautiful day for a hike.

Just to show what length I make Wanda go through to get the shot. Check these photos. She is boulder scrambling and if she misses she ends up in the river and

I always enjoyed posing for the PAD project when we were out in the mountains. I felt more like I was in My element. Much more comfortable than in the studio. (s)

The best part about today's hike was when I biffed it comming down the trail on the ice! I was doing My best to keep My balance and just "ski" down the slope, I picked up momentum but then the ice turned back into slush and My feet came to a screeching halt! The rest of Me just kept on going! Soon I was face down in the slush and the mud. The binoculars I had around My neck bounced off the trail and back up into My face as I was still headed downward. I now have a lovely bump on My chin which I am sure will turn black and blue by tomorrow. Lucky for Me it's a small one and wont show much. Too bad Bill had his camera all tucked away in his back pack, ME sprawled out on the trail may have made an interesting picture, but Bill is too sweet to do that.

At least you still went hiking, however you missed out on some great hiking today at Calf Creek, Upper and Lower :)
