Wanda12_16_04.jpg

This is a little foot bridge in the canyon near our home. This is one of the places we walk during the winter when the high country is snowed in. The late afternoon light made for some very nice colors.

The one thing I notice in this picture that happens every wintertime, is that My hair gets darker. If I spend enough time out in the sun, then My hair gets natural highlights in it. I much prefer the warmth of the summer sun over the cold chill of old man winter.

CVick, thank you so much for taking the time to express your appreciation for Bill's project. You don't know how many times I have, for one reason or another, I have said to Bill, "your project ends today!" It's nice people like you who help keep Me in the project. I also have a stubborn streak that helps as well. (grin)

I only found Pbase about 3 months ago and I today I felt compelled to tell you this has been my favorite gallery since the beginning. I've been a photographer (as a hobby and for income) for the last 15 years and know what it takes to do what you do. (Though I can't do it anywhere near as well as you do!) For you to be able to come up with the quality photographs you do day-in and day-out is amazing to me. I know having a beautiful subject helps but I've seen a lot of perfect subjects really screwed up. I find that your talent as a photographer and Wanda's as a model complement each other perfectly and can only dream of having such a situation. That and the commitment to your marrage really shines through your photographs and should be an inspiration to us all.
Antway I didn't mean to ramble on I just wanted to let you know of someone else who appreciates what you do and is behind you 100 percent.
Thank you for your efforts and for sharing them with us.

Nice shot...reminds me of a bridge near me...and walk along the river...I have not been there in awhile...

lovely colours.

Hmmm, … the foreground is a tad too “busy” for my taste, although the rolling water at the closest point is indeed lovely. I think I would have preferred you zoomed in more with the 200mm and “rule of thirds” Wanda to fill the entire top left third of the image. True, you would have lost almost all of the water, but the 200mm would have thrown all the lil’ twigs and sticks out of focus forcing our eyes to the subject, … Wanda.

BTW, … “Hey Wanda!” (Cupping my hands to shout up at her.) “You aren’t afraid of heights?”

Isleman, … yes indeed the vistas are stunning, … but there’s SNOW there! (Shivering violently)

Very smart shot. Love the scale. Still thoroughly enjoying your pictures everyday. The beautiful vistas around your home call out for me to move.

This is very beautiful, I like the hint of snow on the side of the picture, has a warm but seasonal feel to it. Fantastic colors. Vote

This is beautiful indeed. Those colors are exceptional and wanda looks right at home amidst all that beauty

Very nice, Bill. Love the light and warm colors...something a little different again. Nice seeing you roam a bit in DPReview again as well. Have a good one.
