Our winter birds are showing up and we like to keep them well fed. It won't be long and I'll have my natural branch perches up for wild bird photos.

I always like the way diffused sunshine lights up My hair! Of course My hair still had some "summer highlights" in it at this point. As we move into winter each year My hair gets darker, but then when summer rolls around, mother nature lightens it up again. I love the natural sunstreaks I get each summer. Wanda

Tim, that is why a nice bright overcast day is my favorite for outdoor photography especially wildlife. With a nice overcast you usually don't have to deal with deep shadows. Sometimes the biggest problem on overcast days is getting enough contrast and shadows so the lighting doesn't look to flat.

Tim, the lighting was very simple for this one. It was all Mother Nature. We had a high thin overcast. The clouds were just thick enough to see the sun through at times. It was like having a huge soft box; so, you get nice soft diffused light. The sun is behind and a little to Wanda's left.

I really love the lighting on this one, Bill, I hate to bug you, but could you give a brief rundown on how you achieved it? Anytime, just whenever you get tired of hanging out with Wanda and drinking champagne and stuff. (Should be in about the year 2048, I figure.)
