Wanda09_19_04.jpg

This photo is for Sally Patterson. When we met the Pattersons in Yellowstone Sally gave Wanda some Minnesota wild rice and her recipe to cook it with mushrooms. Wanda doesn't cook; so, I do almost all the cooking at our house. Tonight she broke with tradition and cooked all by herself Sally Patterson's wild rice and mushroom casserole. Sally it was fantastic.

I roasted a chicken to go with the wild rice. Boy dinner was great.

I have to laugh when I look back at this image. I feel a bit Martha Stewartish. (grin)

"domestic Wanda"........most who know Me would think that is an oxymoron! (grin) Although I must pat Myself on the back and confess that I can bake one hell of a good Apple Pie! (proud smile) Perhaps one of these days I'll have to bake an apple pie and have Bill take a picture of that too!

Nice plate, looks realy light on the end something delicious comes out of it. I am like Bill, I love cooking and do this quite well. On the other side, my wife does it quite good too. So, for this we have no problems here. Buon appetito, enjoy the meal.

In my humble opinion, looking as good as Wanda does, practically every waking moment (according to what we've seen), she *cooks* all the time.

Ah! Mr. Pickles, I do believe you took Bill's comment about Me *not cooking* all wrong. He wasn't complaining, just clarifying. You see, knowing that I don't cook often, makes the fact that I actually cooked the rice Sally gave Me all the more meaningful. It takes a lot to inspire ME to cook. I was so touched by the Patterson's gift that I wanted to show My appreciation by actually taking the time to cook it! And it was an easy recipe too! If all cooking was that simple I might do it more often. (grin )Oh, and did anyone mention that it was delicious yet? Cuz it was!

Oh, and one more thing, thanks Mr. Pickles, you make Me sound like one helluva fantastic woman! (soft lil giggle)

I'm not complaining. I love to cook. Next to photography it is one of my favorite pastimes.

She only cooks sometimes? She walks around everyday looking beautiful, models for you even when she doesn't really want to, puts up with this POTD project, Goes hiking and what-not with you, looks to have a great sense of humor, keeper of a wonderful looking family, and she doesn't cook all that much? Where's the pots and pans, William?

Good work wanda, it really looks delicious. You look like an ad for something (hmmm... but what it would be an ad for is not coming to me at the moment) and the look on your face is just great. Another stellar photograph
