Wanda08_29_04.jpg

Wanda, our daughter Brandy, Wanda's nephew Wes and I hiked up a nearby canyon today to some warm springs. It is a nice hour and a half hike along a beautiful creek.

Just below the falls Wanda is sitting under in this photo, a number of warm mineral springs flow into the little creek. The water Wanda has her feet in is about 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The rock in the canyon bottom is lime pudding stone. It makes a number of potholes and nice pools. I took Wanda here the first time a few years ago. We went back for Mother's Day with Brandy. Wanda was forty then and had never been skinny dipping, in what some might call a public place. Wanda figured it was time; so, she stripped down and climbed into one of the pools. Brandy was mortified.

Today there were about 10 other people enjoying the warm springs over about 100 yards of the stream. With Wes and Brandy there Wanda wore her bikini today.

Considering there were so many other people around, I think I did "ok" on this session. I really HATE posing for pictures while other people are around watching. I tried to just ignore Bill and his damned camera and just have fun! At one point it was a bit more nerve wracking because another man whipped out his camera and started shooting pictures too! (cringe) When I mentioned it to Bill he just chuckled and told Me not to be concerned because the "stranger" with the camera would end up with lousy shots. He was using a "point and shoot" and was standing so far away that I would end up being no bigger than an ant in his pictures.

Your own personal waterfall?
Very colorful with a nice combo of still and action.
Wanda, can you hold still for 15 seconds,
so Bill can really blur that waterfall properly? =)
