Wanda07_19_04b.jpg

Wanda and I spent the evening scouting locations for some future photos. We found and area that was just covered with wildflowers. I couldn't ask for a more perfect place to take today's photo.

Here are two more that could have been the photo of the day http://www.pbase.com/image/31572945 and http://www.pbase.com/image/31572635

I think I like this one the best http://www.pbase.com/image/31584616

Gotta love those wildflowers! The colors in this picture and the others taken that day are great. I'm not really happy with the expression on My face in this one though.

Once you start to use RAW you won't go back to shooting jpegs. It is just so much more flexible. Another big plus is you have much more information to work with and that may mean more in the future as we have better conversation and editing software.

Thanks, Bill. It does seem those dark overcast days are the best for popping colors, as these pictures show. Sunny seems to wash everything out, and is harder to fix. I need to learn about using RAW....

Steve, I shoot in RAW and when converting the RAW files to 16 bitt tiffs with CaptureOne LE I boost the color saturation about 5%. I didn't use any filters on these photos. The sky was dark and overcast and light was a bit flat. It started to really blow and rain within a few minutes of taking this photo.

Did you boost the color/satuation on these three photos? The flowers are spectacular, especially in the third shot. What, if any, filter did you use? Must be a fun day to find a locale as gorgeous as that, and have a model just as pretty. Beautuful.
