This is the toughest part of the climb. You climb a little over 1000 feet in a little over a quarter mile. You get to find out how well your lungs and heart work. At 10,000 feet above sea level the air begins to get thin. Hey, there is still snow up here. When you point the camera downhill and take a photo you can't tell how steep it is in this area.
