We had just returned home from our trip and it was Bill who was tired and cranky this time! We were still early into this project and I wasn't about to miss a day this soon into it! I was pretty happy with the results on this image. I think Bill did a great job even though he was tired. This was the first picture taken later in the evening when we were bumping up against the clock. Our goal was to always get the image taken before midnight( we've only missed once by an hour or so) and hopefully get it posted before midnight.

Crystal, we did have fun. The original plan was to spend a few days photographing California Condors in Northern Arizona. It got side tracked by a very rare flower blooming. So,I spent two days photographing Merriam's Bearpaw Poppies, which is an endangered species of plant. It has a limited range of few acres in Utah and Nevada. It was a great opportunity to see and photograph this very rare plant in bloom. The condor's can wait a week or two. Wanda spent the day around the pool visiting with family.

Here is the first image of me and the flower. I have a few hundred images to go through and process over the next few days.
