details of the finish: The couple you can see on the right side of the frame rode in just ahead of me. Out on the course about 10 minutes before we hit the finish line I had groaned to them that I was going to die! As I crept over the finish line with a body trembling from fatigue, they both offered up an "atta girl" and added, "see, you didn't die!" . . . . . and then the gal says to me, "now don't fall down getting off your bike." (laffin) She could see how tired I was and that I had to struggle just to unclip. I think I stood there straddling the bike and trembling for a few minutes before I even dared try to dismount. Bill and one of the event volunteers actually had to help me off my bike. I believe my words at that point were. . . " I FINISHED!". . . and then I added. . "NEVER AGAIN!" (laffin) . . I can cross that ride off my bucket list. Wanda
