The red car Savary used in 1975 - 1976 at rally (with Corhay as Navigator) was a car that was puchased by him from Claude Haldi and used by Haldi also at Rally. Who knows what the base was . I believe #96 at 1977 LeMans was this previously red Haldi , then Savary rallycar. So if this is the case , unless the 72S chassis you speak of was with Haldi in 1975, it is not the same chassis as #96 at 1977 24hrs. Le Mans.
In 1977, had Savary switched to a 934 (turbo powered) type car for rallying.

Firstly – you have a truly wonderful website – the pictures and detail keep me occupied for ages. The reason for writing to you is reference car 96 that raced at Lemans in 1977.
It was raced by a gentlemen called Corthay and I am trying to find out the original chassis number of the car? Would you know? The car is believed to be a 1972s that was converted in 1975 to 3.0RS specification?
Any help or a point in the right direction would help.
