This roadkill must have been covered by the snowplow
after the first major snowfall in December.

A fairly common sight in our area. Occasionally deer are hit by vehicles, but usually the deaths are from natural causes: old age, wet and cold winters, and predation. We also get dead seals and sea lions washing up on shore.
