There are three ways to get to Supai, the Havasupai village located at the bottom of Havasu Canyon: by helicopter, by horse/mule, or on foot. Two of us decided to take the helicopter with Cheryl, while the other six of us opted for the 12.8 km (8 mile) hike with Tina, Cheryl's assistant. Armed with hats, sunscreen, and two 1-litre bottles of water each, we began our trek just before 9 A.M., hoping to arrive at Supai in the early afternoon.
