Why this shot? Because this shot was taken handheld at 1/15th zoomed in to 400mm, with the lenses optical stabilization turned on. Note that this is the best of a number of shots, and although the other shots are good this shot also shows a keen handholding skill on the part of the person taking the picture (most likely not the one writing this text, in fact I believe his name to begin with the letter "L"...).

Answered my own question. This is nice. I'm trying to decide between the canon 100-400L IS, and this Lens. I have the 75-300 IS but it seems a little soft on the long end unless I stop it down.
