If the coulds wern´t so low then Eyjafjallajökull which erupted in 2010 would be seen in the background. This photo is taken near Þorvaldseyri which is a farm near the glacier.
Here a flood came down in the begining of the eruption carrying with it some amount of sand and ash which nearly destroied some farms near Þorvaldseyri.
In the foreground of the photo some of the sand and ash can be seen. Also to get some idea of how much sand and ash came down during the flood you can see that the water is only about 10 cm from the bottom of the bridge,
but before the eruption the waterlevel was much, much, much lover.
