It used to be years ago that I loved to go to fancy restaurants but anymore, the glitz has tarnished.
Yes... I love to know there is a chef and his staff caring about preparing innovative food but quite frankly,
the cost of the experience is greater than the experience itself, and I am not one to brag about where I have eaten or where I have been seen.

I love to cook and can prepare good food at home for a fraction of the cost.
And there is nothing worse than spending big bucks and coming home hungry or dissatisfied with the meal.

So... I enjoy a local funky place or a mom-and-pop place to grab a bite to eat with friends.
The Capture Dallas gang met up at the Twisted Root for lunch and had a marvelous time.
I have eaten their quirky burger combinations on previous occasions
but since I am trying so hard to eat vegetarian, I got their black bean burger and must say, it was delicious!
I never missed the meat.
And it didn't cost me an arm-and-a-leg!
