Day #10

The Lalamobile

OK... for those of you who are curious about the Lalamobile... here it is.

There are lots more stickers on the side back windows and a few on the upper part of the back passenger windows.

If you are not in agreement with my stickers, that's OK.
I will still be your friend if you will be mine and show mutual respect for differing opinions.
That's how I believe in living my life but after 45 years I feel a need to speak out.

I've had notes left on my car... good and bad.
I rarely have anyone pull up next to me at a red light as they lag behind to read the stickers.

I have looked in my rear view mirror to see people shaking their heads in disbelief and I have also seen them giving me a thumbs up and rarely a one-finger salute.

I have had a couple people come up and hug me when they see me approaching my car after reading the stickers and thank me for speaking out.

I had an elderly woman scream at me at the top of her lungs while standing in the street next to my car.
She told me I was going to burn in hell. She was definitely out of control.
And the funny thing was, SHE had invited ME to come to her estate sale and told me to bring my pug so we could visit with her and her pug.
So... during her tirade, I politely took little Mollie Sue and said... "Mollie Sue, I think it is time we go home!" and left the woman ranting in the street as we drove off.

Do I mean to offend? Most definitely not!
It's called freedom of speech and like I have said, I am non-confrontational except for my stickers.
At a glance you will know exactly what I stand for.

We all have a vote and we all can believe or not believe as we choose.

I will give you respect for your differing opinions and would appreciate the same in return.

So here are some of my favorites:

My life is based on a true story

I'm not crazy... my mother had me tested

Happier than a bird with a french fry

Doctors Without Borders

After the rapture, can I have your car?

Want to shoot defenseless animals? Use a camera!

Be the change you wish to see in the world

Eat more veggies

Recycle

It's OK not to believe. Religion is not a pre-requisite for morality

Humanist

Health care is a moral issue

Foodie for life. Eating well, feeling good, loving life.

Life is too short to eat crummy food

I'd rather be cooking

Addicted to cookbooks

Where's Lucy?

The Crazy Women's Photography Club

Crazy Pug Lady

My Moral Values: End war and violence, equal rights for all, freedom of religion, quality schools, affordable health care

A special thank you to my friends Lorraine and Mike for getting this shot of the Lalamobile as we headed out to a photography lecture and also for getting the photo of me.

lol I love it but I too would be afraid to be pulled over by the police for no reason because I stood out.... kudos to the brave you

Love the stickers, hate the lack of rear visibility! I've backed into things too many times with my TSX, which doesn't have stickers on the back window but has lousy rear visibility.

Do you have to keep the car forever? This is cool, reminds of the 70´s, where I also used stickers. Nowadays here in Germany you rarely see them anymore. I think also that your car would get pulled over by police here, because of limited rear sight ! :)

Dear Lala – good to see the real you. Thank you for showing me your Faymobile.
I do like your extensive collection – and I do eat my veges too – sometimes…
