'SUNSET'

This was a film made by Ray Featherstone of Berridge Road, Sheerness. It was filmed during 1968-1970 and involved volunteer actors and film crew. All the lads seen on this photo were at that time pupils at the Secondary Modern for Boys (Central), Jefferson Road, Sheerness.
The plot of the film was that a group of school boys took a cruise on a sail ship (The Arethusa) and due to a violent storm, were ship-wrecked and ended up on an island which was still occupied by German soldiers who thought the second world war was still raging. A sad ending but the film was fun to make.
Seen on the photo as far as I can remember are, from left to right: Robin Roberts, Aluyn Roberts, Sean Cruise, (can't remember the next lads name), Les Newell, Steven Macnamara, Robert Wilkinson, Me and last but not least......Richard Curtis. On the stretcher is little Danny....can't remember his surmame.
