Actually, Chas, I don't use the mono settings of the 5D. I shoot RAW and conver in ACR, sometimes desaturating in the conversion process or I use filters from Fred Miranda and/or excellent mono and free software athttp://www.optikvervelabs.com Cheers Sheila

Sheila, obviously you are loving the monochrome settings of the 5D. I have been on the fence over the 5D or the 30D as an upgrade to my 300D. These shots just made my decision for me. The are marvelous....as is all of your work anyway!! You are an inspiration to us rank amateurs. Chas
