Superb image--the lines, the delicate shadow, the light in her hair, the hand gesture, the gossamer, light-filled gown, and the unusual POV--all add to the impact. V

Excellent abstraction of an otherwise ordinary scene.

There's such a delicacy to this, Kal. I don't know if it's the light, her small stature, the shadows or everything together. The textures are wonderful.

A photo of impressions - light, delicate, ballet, childhood, shodows (insect like lines), flower petals, all those lines, beautiful monochrome, etc.

She seems to be taking those first steps upon the big stage of life, Kal. It is splashed in shadows, the figures that frame her imagination. She takes little note of them, but we do. Well abstracted through vantage point, it is an image that freezes a precious moment in time forever.

I have no poetry nor prose to add but as far as this picture goes, I love it. I remember the original, which featured an outstanding point of view and this, very different image, has the same quality. I love the lighting also - and that beautiful shadow sparkling in that late light

The window dew cried for her
As the Queen brittled her skin
Against the cold slivered sill,
And my fingertips condensed
A print of fasciantion,
On the pane, where she fell,
As a delicate dream
Of folded gossamer thoughts
Caught in my morning light.

Very lovely Luca!!! :D

Outside it was snowing fast.
'Those are the white bees swarming,' said the old grandmother.
'Have they also a queen bee?' asked the little boy, for he knew that the real bees have one.
'To be sure,' said the grandmother. 'She flies wherever they swarm the thickest. She is larger than any of them, and never stays upon the earth, but flies again up into the black clouds. Often at midnight she flies through the streets, and peeps in at all the windows, and then they freeze in such pretty patterns and look like flowers.'
