Same position, same direction, yet not connecting, both in the foreground and in the background. The distance created tension, even more by the words that only you're great enough to spot them. Amazing.

Shanghai is a golden mine of photo-opportunities.
May I say... "Stay tuned, Kal"?

A very multi-layered meaningful image. Also makes my legs cramp up. :-) Great shot.

Two sides of boredom..;)
Maybe the two of them should try to do what the sign behind them says - find a connection. Excellent find.

Perfect mimic, and not once, but twice! The second one may be a lucky hit, but even with only the two people in the foreground this is excellent.

Facing solitude. Brilliant!

Really good juxtaposition Kal.. it speaks, like so much of your work.

We are all waiting at one point or another during our days - waiting for the bus, for the subway, waiting to be served at the restaurant, waiting for an appointment, waiting for a phone call, .... and the connection comes, usually.

There seems to lots of side by side solitude in China. Takes me back to your Shanghai lunchbreak although these chaps are consumed by their thoughts.
