Humm... Seem like a museum or something like that.. not that it matters, because with all those signs that I can't read I would not venture inside ;)
But the compo is beautifl with those two spashes of red anchoring the image against the wall.

Not even the infusion of red, the most exciting color of all, into this monochromatic scene, can wake up this dozing host. I can't read the signs, but they hardly look welcoming. Wonderful incongruity brings home the human values here -- boredom, inertia, regimentation, authoritarian.

I see a hotel, provincial Chinese style. The only familair sign is the "non smoking". So many questions come to my mind when I see this photograph - for example, What is behind the door to the left? Is there a reception desk at the hotel? Is smoking common in China?... (If this is not a hotel, you got me!!!)

A great ping! Bold red against the almost monochrome wall and door frame. Like Ann whose picture involved seeing lines, I see many rectangles in yours :-) The "odd" ones are the glowballs and the lady, both in matching red, how brilliant!
