the mood is amazing, and the contrast between buildings enhance the impact. Love the way you processed the image. Beautiful!

Love the colour and the processing you have used on this one, excellent show! Love everything, the illuminated text at the top and the black building, and the rich textural building at the front....one of your best! excellent !

:-)

There's a strong contrast in this one between the old and the new and I already saw that it was exactly what you were after ;)) So all I can say at this point is that your aproach to this composition was quite sucessful.

yeah, I see it. I couldn't get it alone. Still, it remains surreal. And the PWC neon sign seems to be eating little by little everything is around. Alienation, if I think about it again, wasn't that bad after all...

thanks

A picture taken for an aquaintance who worked in the building at the background. They wanted a picture of Xintiandi, a location where old Shekumen houses had been renovated in Shanghai. I wanted to contrast PWC an international global firm,. next to the history of Shanghai, and the ordinariness of how life goes on with all these contradictions and extremes in this city.

U nicely use colors, Kal. Ok, we have seen that colors were not working as the bw with the china wall picture but my humble suggestion would be to give them more tries. not only colors but also some PS treatment.
Here there is a great atmosphere. Perhaps, I am not really able to catch the message behind. Oh wait, is that the man is going "home", a kind of commercial firm owned home ? Again, if this is the case - please share - is another story of human alienation.
Btw, being in China you should be quite surrended by these kind of realities. That's why "dignity" pictures always impress me a lot. They break stereotypes one might have.
Keep posting my friend !
