Dharamsala, McLeod Ganj and Around

Best known for being the home of the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government in Exile, Dharamsala is situated in Himachel Pradesh, in the Himalayan region of India. McLeod Ganj (named after the Lieutenant-Governor of Punjub, David McLeod), is a few kilometres north of, and 500 metres higher than, Dharamsala; and the Dalai Lama lives in between the two.
