Laura and Oak Alley Plantations Celebrate Christmas
The grand plantation houses along the Great River Road of the Mississippi River in Louisiana truly "deck the halls" and design their decorations to depict the era in which the plantation was at its peak.
Two of the plantations, Oak Alley and Laura, are very different styles and the decorations befit the houses.
My thanks to Zeb and Debra Mayhew and Norman Marmillion for allowing me to photograph the Christmas decorations.
No flashes were used for these photographs because I had not asked permission.
