The Roman Candy Man

St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans

I almost leapt out of my car when I saw the candy man back in business along St. Charles Avenue. He makes the candy right there on the spot and I stayed for a while and watched. Then ate candy all the way home.

12-20-08 I saw the ROMAN CANDY MAN on PALMYRA ST. in MID CITY today.I purchased twelve pieces of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry candy for $8.00.I was delighted to see him here in MID-CITY and inquired as to his fortune, he indicated that times were though but he's "hangin" in there. HI NEW ORLEANIANS where ever you are! James JACOBS.

I hope all his old customers were there waiting for him. It's nice to see this kind of small business.

Now there's a picture I can sink my teeth into. Another side of your city that you've exposed. Nice job.

That candy wagon is a real treasure. Nice capture. The best part is seeing people like this get their businesses back up and running.
