FEMA trailers

Purdue Drive in Metairie, Louisiana

Our neighborhoods are starting to look like this with trailers in the front yard as people gut their houses from flood damage. There are two trailers in this photo of one half block.
I also see a "blue roof" tarp on one house which is temporary until the roof is repaired. We have blue roofs all over town.
FEMA, the biggest waste of the federal government, distributed these blue tarps. They are only good for one month. With no electricity and no construction people available, it will be much more than one month before roofs can be replaced. Ohhh, the idiocy of the federal government.

I believe I see the pink fruit pod that comes after the initial golden flowers of a golden rain tree in the background. There was a few years when a drive along part of Canal Blvd in New Orleans would annually be thrrough an amazing arch of golden or pink.I believe a hard freeze killed those trees. Colleen following Hurricane Ida I realized how very slippery the blue tarps become with just the slightest bit of water including dew. Fortunately I noticed it in time as it would have been 20 feet to the concrete.

Not to discourage you but we still have blue tarps in Florida from the storms of 2004.
