SP Friday and a Bridge Too

Metairie, Louisiana

This is a garden at the entrance to our subdivision that I have been keeping up for years. It was 85 degrees this morning while doing this and the sweat is dripping off the end of my nose. I did manage to get a bridge in a week's worth of photos.
I did a gallery titled "Wedding on Bridge in City Park" but I can't link you to it. It is in my galleries. I especially like the last gondola shot in the gallery where it looks like they're suspended in air. And, no one got that photo but me. The official photographer had already left the Park.

I've seen that garen many times. In fact I think I pass it everyday. You do a good job with it Coleen. And I do like your gondola shot from last wednesday. I'm glad you didn't leave with the photographer,,, but you are the photographer, this we all know

You are hard at work quite early in the morning.
Karen Leaf06-Aug-2005 02:38
Way too hot is right! But they are beautiful. I think a week of bridges is a great idea!

Way too much work for me! When it's that hot out, I'm all for the a/c and a cold glass of limeade. Take a break, OK?

Hard working lady...you go girl! I've enjoyed your bridges.

I was weeding this morning and watering the plants at the same time. I like all the color in this one.

I didn't know about the bridges week! :( but I like this one, you do a great job. We only have those plants in our house, they don't survive in our belgian gardens

Women don't sweat. They glisten. :) I love candids and this one is just perfect. And you've done a wonderful job with the garden. Were we supposed to do bridges this week? How do I miss this stuff until I see it on here?

Your reminding me that in a short while it will be summer again & my turn to feel awful & sweaty. This looks pretty, Coleen.

Excellent SP and a bridge as well, your hair is hideing your eyes are you cussing at the heat?, send some over here.
Jackdad05-Aug-2005 19:06
like the colourful leaves on those plants. i wouldn't have known about the sweaty nose if you hadn't told me. ;-)

Very beautiful background drop and I like how casual you made this SP appear. Very nice Coleen.

Nothing makes you feel more earthy than gardening in the heat. Something about wiping the sweat off your brow with a dirty forearm just really grounds you. Nice angle on this.
Herb 05-Aug-2005 16:12
Interesting angle, nice shot.

Let me try that again with brain engaged. It is definitely too hot to plant. Nice shot, clear and colorful.

You're quick. Set up, run to hole, grab spade and dig in 10 seconds. WOW. No wonder sweat was dripping off your nose :)

It is definitely to hot to plant. Nice shot, clear and colorful

I agree w/Glendower.
Lee Rudd05-Aug-2005 15:30
those plants are thriving in the heat - you are doing a good job. congrats on the bridges!
Glendower05-Aug-2005 15:22
Very neat shot... quite the angle, but very effective way to draw attention to the gardener as the centre of interest. By the way, beautiful, vigourous looking plants!
