This poor raccoon had just taken a severe hissing and beating from Papa Swan.

Great dof and exposure.

It all looks so fresh and tasty! (The long empty street gives the scene context)

Great colors and what a nice scene to capture. I wonder, are creole tomatotes spicy?
Guest 28-May-2005 10:33
Great colours, certainly beats the supermarket!

If this is the fruit stand by City Park then I used to buy from him alot when I was at Delgado for school... Good picture though, very colorful

This is a real nice shot. The colors and the subject bring a smile to my face and I needed that today!

This is a wonderful photo - beautifuly done Coleen - tack sharp throughout and so vivid and rich!

Very cool - we're so far away from that right now, it's just too darn cold. Got down into the 40's, and rain in the forecast for a while. Just an unusual spring this year. I love farmer's markets, fruit stands, flower stands - so much going on in them. Nice capture.

Great slice of life photo. That's one way to make money. Have a portable fruit stand. And the poor raccoon. Those swans must be pretty fierce.
joanteno26-May-2005 08:08
Nice shot!

that fruit looks too good to eat
Guest 26-May-2005 05:09
Lovely colours in your image ... and yes, the raccoon looks a little crestfallen, doesn't he? :)
Pepe Zyman26-May-2005 04:24
Very nice saturated colors and composition.
Linda Willets26-May-2005 03:26
The colors are so inviting..

The fruit stand looks so inviting! Poor little raccoon!
sschex26-May-2005 01:34
The fruit stand looks wonderful. That "poor" racoon would have easily taken all of the young swans if not for Papa.
Guest 26-May-2005 01:26
Great colors here Coleen! I think I need to drive to Louisiana!!
JeremyGood26-May-2005 00:43
So colorful and it's some great looking fruit. I like their setup.
Guest 26-May-2005 00:18

Lovely colorful shot! Wonderful scene!
Karen Leaf26-May-2005 00:05
Not sure there's a plate big enough for all that I want. What did you come away with besides a terrific pic?
Neal Nye25-May-2005 23:48
The things a raccoon has to put up with in order to make a living. Maybe next he's going to try to score a couple of those tomatoes. Yum!
Dan Chusid25-May-2005 23:40
I'll try some of them there Creole Tomater's. Lookin' good!
Susanne25-May-2005 23:20
This fruit handler is very neat. Look how perfectly his wares are displayed and inline. Nice shot. Very pleasing to the eye and yes it makes one think of buying some fruit from him or her.

I'm not sure what hugry is but I am hungry ;)
Robin Reid25-May-2005 22:54
Lively and colorful shot Coleen... gives me a good feel for this street scene. Sure looks more genuine than the produce department at our local supermarket!
J. Scott Coile25-May-2005 22:53
Quit it... I'm already hugry enough :) Very colorful.
