SP in a Worn Gazing Ball

Louisiana

My gazing ball in my garden has been through several hurricanes and is getting rather worn. I love the oak leaves reflected in it as well as my house.

What a superb photographic effect. You should reicate it and sell them on ebay! LOL!

I just stumbled upon this - great shot! Very 'Monet' like. Had to laugh because I did the same a month ago! Check it out..http://www.pbase.com/image/43416970 Cheers!

Great SP. Like your very own personalized snow globe

This ball has a lot of character, many stories to tell I'm sure of it.
I like the arch in the background. One day take another like this standing under the arch too.
Fun SP

This is so much fun. The eyes just swing back and forth from edge to edge. What an imagination you have.

I've taken several photos in my gazing ball, but always tried to hide so I would not be in it. This is great, Coleen. I did try a SP in the silver ball that I light to keep the mosquitos away. Turned out nice, but I didn't use it. I'll post one soon.

I love this SP very much. I like the beautiful back scene and of course your position in it. I think this is a clever idea for an SP.

Really clever and a beautiful scene. This ball makes a wonderful fisheye lens!

Nice perspective of a beautiful garden. Love the colours and the granulation.
Johnny JAG15-Apr-2005 19:31
Perfect, it probably wouldn't be nearly as interesting with a new gazing ball.

There is a very nice light in your photos since spring arrived, Coleen. Your gazing ball is hypnotic & gives a good sp reflection.
Lee Rudd15-Apr-2005 17:02
very inventive... a fish-eye, or worms-eye view of your garden as well. It is all so beautiful.
Guest 15-Apr-2005 16:35
Worn it may be, but it makes for a quite appealing photo!

This would easily make my top ten of interesting SPs. Beautifully done Coleen -the reflections are quite gorgeous!
