House and grounds went on the auction block today and sold for $700,000.00.
It sits on the east bank of the Mississippi River on the River Road. The many ancient live oaks on the property are beautiful.

Saw Mary Plantation in August, 1972, when my wife taught in St. Bernard Parish. We passed Mary on our way to visit Orange Grove Plantation, which I photographed. Sadly, Orange Grove was in terrible disrepair and has sense been tragically destroyed. Hope they keep Mary safe from floods and hurricanes. You took a lovely picture of Mary.
