This was once the main house of a thriving plantation in Jefferson, Louisiana.
In 1935 the house and grounds became known as The Magnolia School, a school and permanent residence for the challenged students. Today, the School offers classes for day students as well.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped with ancient magnolia and red cedar trees. Residents' cottages, school buildings, a gymn and an auditorium are located throughout the property.
