Flying Close

Conowingo Dam, MD

Until taking up photography I had never seen a bald eagle in the wild.
It's quite a wonderful sight and is only one of many
ways that photography has enriched my life.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II ,Canon EF 300mm f/4L IS USM
Taken at 420mm (with 1.4x teleconverter) full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Wonderful detail Sayer. They are spectacular, aren't they?

Obviously a great catch and capture by you, but that light at picture right is divine. Also, this is an iconic example of the old "eagle-eye" folk adjective. The square crop really suspends this guy to another folk adjective ;-) Nice work - g

Excellent capture Sayer. Like you, photography has placed me in locations to view nature that I would have never seen even in my own backyard.
