Flying Bee

In our garden

This curious bee flew around me for quite some time, never staying in one place.
It was a challenge to try to find it in the lens and then get a focus to take a shot.
It had me turning around and around in circles the entire time.
This is the best out of several photos I took.

Canon EOS 350D ,Sigma 180mm f/3.5 EX APO Macro IF HSM
1/400s f/8.0 at 180.0mm iso200 with Ring Flash full exif

awsome! I'm very fascinated by insects and I have seen those bees at my porch. caught one too. theyre friendly but they try to get away if held between your fingers. I think this kind of bee is really cute.

I've been trying for days to get this. It seems to be a habit of them, I've noticed. They'll run other bees away who come near their area, and don't know quiet what to make of us. And everytime you turn to point the lens, they'll fly off. Excellent work!

Oh what a fantastic shot! The head is so sharp and I just love the colouring of the whole photo. Great going Sayer.
