Dragonfly on my Finger

In our garden

I tried for a long time to get this photo.
It's difficult to manage the camera with attached flash with one hand while your subject is on the other!

Canon EOS 350D ,Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro
1/200s f/16.0 at 105.0mm iso100 with Flash full exif

About imposible using a flash bracket! Great shot.
Man, some of these dragons are larger than I remembered. This is great, gives an idea to the size of it. And I know the sizes can vary a lot with them, like all insects and animals. I think it was a frog you had shots of that was SO much smaller than I'd have imagined. Fun shot, can be hard getting near one much less having it land on your finger.

Brilliant shot. I've befriended a Common Whitetail in my garden this summer and can even take him for short walks on my hand. Swing the camera up to take a shot and off he goes. John
