vernix about the 1:1 stuff, this simply means that the size of the fly projected onto the camera sensor will be identical to the size of the fly. So, if the fly could "sit" on the sensor, it's shadow on the lens would also be 1:1. The reason the image looks bigger is because the 350d is an 8 mpix sensor with very small photosites compared to the pixels on your monitor. In essense 1 sensor pixel becomes 1 monitor pixel, which means everything looks much bigger.

Very very nice.
OK, one question..the Sigma should give you 1:1 imaging.
The fly is waaay bigger than 1:1 in your shot.
How do you do it......?
