In the past, I haven't used post processing to do anything more adventurous than make simple adjustments, that in 'the olden days' I would have done in the darkroom. I crop, resize, adjust contrast etc and occasionally make a straight mono shot from colour. I don't play with the special effects, not because I have anything against them - they just aren't 'my thing' usually.
Tonight, I have made an exception. I originally took this as one of a series of abstract shots, of a roofline against the sky. Looking through them this evening, I noticed that the clouds in one shot looked like half a face - with a well defined 'eye' and 'cheekbones'. As an experiment, I split the shot vertically down the middle and reflected it. The face came out better than I had expected (but works better in the thumbnail) and, as a bonus, the roofline took on a particularly dramatic appearance.
Hmmmm, maybe I should start saving up to buy Photoshop ;-)
I am keen to know what you think of this image, so please leave a comment, thanks.
