Went up to the roof to see what all the excitement was about. Quite impressive, but no tail :-( At the time of the above shot there were no bright background stars, so I tried a longish exposure and then tried to bring them out by using "curves". So now you can make out some, otherwise you might suspect that my focus was way off ;-) These are the colours that come out with the camera custom-white-balanced for sunlight, and actually quite close to what I saw through the eyepiece.
