Neutrino Detector + Portability Kit

Part of my portability kit. Locally fabricated trunks hold the shipping foam that came with the C14 and the CGE mount; so everything fits in snug. I also have an "Electrics" trunk, similar to the "Eyepieces/Optics" case, to carry the laptop and all the related power supply gizmos in foam fitted luxury. Add a tripod, chair, dewshield, 3 heavy 12v batteries... and you need a living-room sized SUV to transport the lot to a dark site. I use a Ford Expedition. Nice thing is, when all the astro stuff is set up outside, a foam mattress yields you a cozy double bed in indoor comfort to catch some sleep. No need to bring a tent ;-) And, No, the water tank in the background is not for amateur neutrino detection.
