Two hot models from 2004 that transcended the game
for their respective manufacturers.
The Canon EOS 20D featured an 8.2mp sensor, speedy operation,
and amazing high iso image quality, for its time. In my opinion,
this is the model that started the high iso revolution that
continues to this day.
The Nikon D70 featured a 6mp sensor, the amazing "Phat Pixel" sensor,
speedy operation, and offered superb image quality in an "affordable"
package. The D70 was a sensation when it was released, a best seller
for Nikon. Nikon took what they had in the more expensive D100, refined
it, and offered it in a less expensive, but just as capable package
in the D70.
I had and loved both models! Sold them when it was time to upgrade.
Today, I still believe these two models hold up well to more recent
models, especially if you utilize their strengths. Both highly
recommended!
