What a powerful image this is, Ruthie. The color adds a dimension of meaning that it did not have in black and white, as I am sure you will agree. The image is wonderfully sensual -- you can smell the freshly baked bread along with her, as well as seeing it, and wanting to touch it. She has been at this a long, long time, she wears her age much more gracefully here than she did in the black and white version. The soft blue color of her cap and the maroon velvet dress add another dimension of meaning to her as well. She was lost in the rolls in black and white, and now they move to the heart of the message. It is about as Parisian a message as you've given us in this gallery, and lovely one.
