The Golden Gate

I want to thank you all for the very kind comments about my portrait series with Audra and Oliver. Most of my success is due to the work of my “tutor” Patti Bean who identified the locations and the models’ postures. Having the long lenses helped a lot, and we had a gorgeous cloudy day with no harsh shadows.

That said I am learning things about portraiture and also a lot about color balancing (from my Palomar class). This archive shot of the Golden Gate Bridge (taken from a Cessna at about 1200 feet!) is a good example of post processing and balancing the colors. The original is below
