Bev, who is my oldest friend (in terms of years we have known each other) is visiting for the Easter weekend. We met in September 1965 when I arrived in Mt Vernon, Iowa as a new young Assistant Dean of Students at Cornell College. Bev and her husband Al lived across the hall from my new apartment.
That Fall she introduced me to her department chairwoman who became my wife the next Spring. For that I have forgiven Bev. ;-) The four of us became close friends. Over the years the two marriages ended, however Bev and I have remained close.
She now lives in San Francisco and is well known as an author, coach, and organization development consultant. Obviously we have a lot in common, and it is great to have her here in San Diego for a few days.
