Sierra Nevada Mountains

Pardon me for posting another snow shot from the Sierras, but I find these scenes to be so unusual (in my daily experience) that I am fascinated with them.

And yes we are blessed with these heavy snows in Northern California. That is where much of our drinking water comes from.
