Oleander Blossom

Rancho Bernardo, CA

The Oleander Bush is ubiquitous in Southern California prized for its hardiness along the sides our freeways. I have a line of them marking the back end of my property.

I had a very nice chat with ***Snootydog*** last night, so I have decided to honor her by emulating the framing style she uses in all of her black and white photos this year.

Wow, great shot, Robin and I am flatter that you pilfered my frame!

If anyone wants to know, Mr. Reid here is even nicer, smarter and funnier on the phone than he is here on pbase. I am afraid I talked his ear off.
(of course having said that, I fully expect his pad for tomorrow to be a self portrait with his ear photoshopped away)

Oleanders do well here too. They line the long long driveways from gate to homestead of many a property as they are impervious to long droughts. The white & frame are lovely.
